Penis enlargement operations and their stages of implementation

Penis enlargement surgeries have been gaining popularity lately. According to world statistics, 80-85% of the strong half of humanity has some problems with small penis size.

To take such a risky step, a man needs to know everything in advance about the pros and cons of genital correction methods and be patient before surgery.

Indications for penis enlargement

The problem is psychological in nature, and the doctor will first and foremost try to dissuade the man from this type of intervention in any way.

The signs can be divided into 3 groups:

Indications for surgery What diseases do they do
Medical micropenis, hypospadias (developmental disorders of the penis), consequences of trauma, congenital developmental disorders of the urethra, thickening of organ tissues, curvature of the penis due to fibrous lesions (Peyronie's disease)
Functional membranous penis, large amounts of subcutaneous fat, hidden penis, buried penis
Aesthetics penile dysmorphic disorder (dissatisfaction with penis size, shape, appearance).

Contraindications

Contraindicated causes of surgery:

  • inflammatory diseases of the urogenital system;
  • Under 18 years of age;
  • poor blood clotting;
  • the presence of diseases identified after the survey;
  • diabetes;
  • sexually transmitted diseases;
  • visible open wounds on the genitals;
  • neoplasms of the tumor;
  • mental disorders.

Penis lengthening correction methods

Prior to surgery, the surgeon should examine the structural characteristics of the organ and, if all indicators are normal, perform additional manipulations. In the evening, the day before surgery, a cleansing enema is performed. In the morning, before the upcoming correction, you should stop eating and drinking.

Increment operations are divided into two directions:

  • surgical procedures to increase penis length;
  • measures to increase penis volume.

Increasing the length of the penis

After surgery by any method, you should refrain from sexual contact, physical activity, sauna, stop drinking alcohol and smoking. One correction for penile extension is ligamentotomy. The purpose of this operation is to cut the tape that secures the inside of the penis by the pelvic bones. Ligamentotomy is needed to improve the outcome of organ enlargement after wearing an extender - a device that fixes the penis in a certain position and distributes it lengthwise.

Ligamentotomy is an additional manipulation without further use of the expander.

Operational access can be:

  • through the scrotum;
  • pubis.

The surgeon makes an incision in the scrotum or vulva, depending on the surgical approach. The ligament is then incised and the penis is pulled out, giving the desired length, and secured in place. There is an improved method of surgery using the patient's adipose tissue. The free space under the ligament is filled with fat and the blood supply to the postoperative wound area is improved. This leads to faster recovery and healing of the patient.

The use of an extension cord after surgery is mandatory. Wear the device from 2 hours a day, gradually increasing the time of use to 6 hours within 3-6 months.

When using the extension cord, special care should be taken to wear underwear. Shorts and pants should be plentiful. Sexual rest is required in the first week after surgery.

Volume increase

During penis enlargement surgery, the challenge is to create an additional layer between the skin and the corpora cavernosa. Depending on the implanted material, the following operations are distinguished:

  • lipofilling - the delivery of fat from the patient under the skin of the penis;
  • microsurgical muscle transplantation - transplantation of a patient's tissue into the subcutaneous space of the penis;
  • phalloprotection - the use of special prostheses to restore the erectile function of an organ.

Lipofilling

In such an operation, the adipose tissue is pumped out and treated with special substances and then injected into the subcutaneous area of the penis. In the process, if there is no rejection of fat cells or other inflammatory lesions, new tissue becomes part of the penis. After surgery, the volume of the organ increases by 2 cm. It is recommended to exclude sexual intercourse for one month after dismissal.

Microsurgical muscle transplantation

Microsurgical muscle transplantation is an expensive innovation in penis enlargement. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 3 hours. The surgeon makes a circular incision in the organ and pulls it off like a sock. It then pre-cuts small areas of skin taken from the abdominal region. The penis is wrapped in a skin flap, the foreskin is placed in place, and sutures are applied. The volume of the enlarged organ after surgery is 4 cm. The patient is in the ward for the first 5 days. Painful feelings may persist for up to 15 days after surgery, so you should monitor your general well-being.

Falloprosthetics

It is performed strictly according to medical indications and is used in situations where a man suffers penile injury or is unable to have sexual intercourse. And the surgical method is also used to change gender. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. Removal of cavernous bodies is accomplished by the introduction of bougienage and semi-rigid prostheses. For 2 or 3 piece prostheses, an incision is made in the scrotum and a pump is inserted. When an inflatable implant is inserted, an incision is made in the lower abdominal region and the container is placed behind the pubic bone.

penile prostheses for enlargement

A positive postoperative effect can be achieved by meeting the following requirements:

  • strict bed rest for the first 2 days;
  • mandatory oral antibiotic for 5 days;
  • inpatient treatment for 4 days, in the absence of contraindications, home rehabilitation is prescribed;
  • denial of sexual intercourse for 7 weeks;
  • after resuming sexual intercourse, consult a doctor for further recommendations.

Postoperative complications

The risk of possible complications may increase if mistakes have been made during surgery or if the man has not treated the recommendations properly during the recovery and rehabilitation period.

There are 2 groups of complications: nonspecific and specific.

First group:

  • intestinal paresis with transperitoneal access;
  • pulmonary embolism;
  • complications after anesthesia - headache in SMA.

Second group:

  • necrosis of the resulting material;
  • changes in erectile function;
  • curvature of the penis;
  • violation of the angle of the erection;
  • uneven absorption of fat mass.

Advantages and disadvantages of operations

Each method of surgical enlargement of the penis has both positive and negative sides.

Benefits of ligamentotomy:

  • nothing is implanted in the skin compared to a phalloprosthesis;
  • you must wear an extension cord during the rehabilitation period that does not cause discomfort to the man;
  • in most cases the result is positive.

Disadvantages: Improper wear and application of the expander leads to negative results during the rehabilitation period.

The benefits of lipofilling are:

  • the use of the person's own adipose tissue;
  • a small percentage of donor rejection.

Cons:

  • during the process, the fat cells are absorbed, the procedure must be repeated 3-4 times every six months;
  • use of synthetic components that can lead to inflammatory processes.

Benefits of microsurgical muscle transplantation:

  • the skin is well rooted;
  • slower absorption of fat cells compared to lipofilling;
  • rapid and visible effect after surgery.

Negative factors include:

  • violation of the blood supply may result in rejection of the transplanted tissue;
  • pain in the first 2-3 weeks.

The advantages of phalloprotection are:

  • the ability to restore the sexual function of the organ;
  • ability to lead an active sex life.

Cons:

  • causes serious injury in the patient's life;
  • inability to perform surgery if chronic diseases are present;
  • a significant increase in the negative result for previous vascular surgeries on the penis.

During surgical procedures to enlarge the penis, you must first and foremost select the right clinic, a highly trained professional, and be familiar with the necessary information about the method you have chosen.
